This 18x24x1.5 inch piece isn't for everybody, but for those who speak this language, the image speaks volumes. This Amalgamation piece combines two acrylic originals and one charcoal and chalk drawing (like everything else here, all my original works). The three pieces, Last Battle, PTSD, and Inferno, all dealt with the toll that war takes on the soldier. Inferno reflects on the human cost of exercising our own power. PTSD, as the name implies, addresses the pain, fear, and anxiety, that hangs like a shadow on those who have suffered. Last Battle, shows the feeling of being lost and without purpose or light after the wars are all over and the soldier does not know how to come back. Put together digitally, and smoothed together with a little digital painting, this piece has become on of my favorites.
Like all my Amalgamation pieces, Trio is set on deep canvas (the 1.5 inch depth really makes it great for display) is sealed for color preservation and a slightly reflective finish, and comes ready to hang on the wall.
